SixSister Questions Answered

1. If you were a color, what would you be?
Although this will make me appear to be more boring and much less adventurous than I am with colour, I have to be perfectly honest and say that black is my favourite. That said, I love to accent black with any bright and funky pieces. Of course, hipS-sister is one of my go to's.
2. If you were stranded on a deserted island but could make 1 meal appear, what would it consist of?
I would have to go with "fondu chinoise". This was my favourite meal growing up and still is. It is a fondu that is broth based (as opposed to oil or cheese). You have very thin slices of meat (literally, the thinkness of 5 sheets of paper stalked on top of eachother). You roll the meat up and poke it on a stick and let it cook in the boiling broth. It takes about a minute. Once you take it out, you have a choice of sauces to dip it in before eating it. Because the meet is so thin, it feels like it just about melts in your mouth. I am getting hungry thinking about it. We usually had it serves with a side of baked potato, cesar salad, crab salad and veggies. MMMmmmmMMMmmm Good!
3. What is a "sister" to you? (brothers, what is a brother?)
I don't happen to have a biological sister, though I do have a brother whom I love with all my heart. We are 10 years apart and he has always been so close to my heart. Love you David!
That said, if I had to describe what a sister is, I'd have to say that first and foremost, it is trust, friendship and unconditional love. A sister is someone who won't intentionally hurt your feelings, but will always be honest with you. She will inspire you to be the best person you can be. She will not judge you unfairly and will offer her support when you need it.
4. What is your most embarrassing moment?
I've been having a hard time coming up with my most embarrassing moment. Not that I don't have any, in fact, I have a few, but they are embarrassing......thus, not something you really want to tell the world. Here's one of them:
I must have been 16 or 17 at the time. I needed to get a filling done on a tooth (cavity.... argh..) It just so happened that my dentist was quite good looking. It certainly made the experience better than it would have been otherwise. I was never one to enjoy having someone stick a needle in my mouth and then drill away etc....  Anyway, finally, the drilling was over and it was time to say farewell to dentist hot stuff. Of course, as they always do, he hands me a little cup of water so that I can rinse anything left out of my mouth. Here is little ol' me putting the cup to my lips, taking a big swig and trying to swish it in my mouth. But WAIT, I'm frozen!! YES, the water just went everywhere, my shirt, my shorts, not to mention my chin which was dripping. Dentist starting laughing, I was mortified, I just wanted to disappear. LOL. Lesson learned though, that never happened again. Not with water or a dentist anyway ;)
5. What are some of the goals you have set forth to accomplish before 2013 is over?
As a hipS-sister partner, I hope to see the business flourish and have people recognize the brand when they see our logo.
I'd also really love to join the "motherhood" club. I am currently a step mom to 2 beautiful children but would love to be a full time mommy.
Those are really my two ultimate goals for the year. Some smaller goals would be to be at my most fit and healthy. I've turned 31 this year and would love to be in the best shape of my life. I've started to eat healthier and consume less alcohol as well as run as often as I can (but at least 3 times a week). It's been good, but certainly more work ahead! No pain no gain as they say.
6. If we say LOVE, what are the first 10 words you think of?
Family, laughter, trust, honesty, integrity, friends, partner, respect, unconditional, lasting.
